Wisdom For Everyday Life
Ancient Wisdom for the life we are living today
10-week Online Journey with Hari Śakti & Hare Kṛṣṇa Das.
The world changes. The human heart still asks the same questions.
How do we deal with desire, uncertainty, difficult people, disappointment, habits, the need for control, and the feeling that there must be something more meaningful to life?
The ancient wisdom traditions explored these questions deeply, and their insights remain remarkably relevant today.
In this 10-week course, we will explore one real-life question each week, drawing from the Bhagavad Gita and other Vedic and yogic teachings, and bringing them into our own lives through reflection, discussion and practical exercises.
This course is not only about learning philosophy, but also about discovering how wisdom can become a way of living.
Week 1 — What Are You Chasing?
Desire, fulfilment & the restless mind
Week 2 — The Things You Can’t Control
Uncertainty, acceptance & inner freedom
Week 3 — Why Do We Keep Repeating What We Know Isn’t Good for Us?
Habits, conditioning & Saṁskāras
Week 4 — The Way You Speak Changes Your World
Speech, truth, silence & compassion
Week 5 — How to Be with Difficult People
Judgment, boundaries, compassion & seeing clearly
Week 6 — When Life Doesn’t Go According to Plan
Loss, disappointment & resilience
Week 7 — Who Are You When Nobody Is Watching?
Character, integrity & living according to your values
Week 8 — Enough
Contentment, comparison & the culture of “more”
Week 9 — What Does It Mean to Trust Life?
Faith, surrender & letting go without giving up
Week 10 — What Kind of Life Do I Want to Live?
Meaning, purpose & bringing it all together
Each week we will move through four simple stages:
ANCIENT WISDOM
Explore a teaching from the Bhagavad Gita and other Vedic/yogic texts.
UNDERSTANDING
Look at the teaching through the lens of everyday life and psychology.
PRACTICE
Try a practical exercise or reflection that can be brought into your week.
SHARING
Open group discussion and space to explore our own experiences.
So rather than asking:
“What does this scripture say?”
we will ask:
“What does this mean for the way I actually live?”
You don’t need any previous knowledge of the Bhagavad Gita, yoga philosophy or Vedic teachings.
This course is for you if you are curious about:
- understanding yourself more deeply
- working with your mind and habits
- finding more clarity in everyday decisions
- navigating relationships with greater awareness
- dealing with uncertainty and difficult periods
- exploring purpose and meaning
- discovering ancient wisdom without needing to become an expert in scripture
And if you have already completed one of our Bhagavad Gita courses, this is an opportunity to take some of those teachings off the page and into everyday life.
